Driven by passion

Max McCormick is a professional hockey player currently with the Seattle Kraken organization and the captain of the Coachella Valley Firebirds in the American Hockey League (AHL). A native of De Pere, Wisconsin, Max's passion for hockey began at a young age and quickly turned into a professional career.

Drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the sixth round of the 2011 NHL Draft, Max has had the opportunity to play in both the NHL and AHL, with previous stints at the Ottawa Senators, Carolina Hurricanes, and Seattle Kraken. Known for his leadership, hard work, and consistent play, Max has become a respected figure in the game. He has also earned recognition as an AHL All-Star, highlighting his performance among the league’s top players. As captain of the Firebirds, he led the team to back-to-back Calder Cup Final appearances, showcasing his skill, drive, and ability to elevate his teammates. In the 2023–24 season, Max finished with career-high numbers, leading the Firebirds in goals and points while playing a crucial role in their postseason success.

Through his hockey academy, Max aims to pass on the valuable lessons he has learned throughout his career — not just about hockey, but about what it takes to succeed at any level. He is dedicated to helping young athletes improve their skills while also fostering a mindset focused on work ethic, leadership, and respect for the game. Max’s goal is to provide a fun, challenging, and supportive environment where kids can grow both as hockey players and as individuals.
